Lash

Lash: Broken Angel Book 1 - L G Castillo

Cover: Amazing!!! Its gorgeous. I can't stop looking at it. The guy is so good looking, the perfect lash :)Characters: Very well writtenBook Flow: It's what I like to call climbing story :)Story: Very interesting, very uniqueI thought this book was great!!! Such a unique story. Lets start with the character Lash who is banished from Heaven because he is just a bad boy but with a big heart and did I mention super sexy (when I look at the cover all I can think of is sex...I mean sexy, yes thats it sexy) ;) I loved that he was written as a not so perfect "angel" he still has some major issues and was totally hot (not sure if i mentioned that)Naomi is a great charcters, She had gone though so much heart ache and almost gave it all up. Although she is "saved" a few times she is not your typical damsel in distress, she is very strong and independent, but she is kind of a pain in the ass and very stubborn (read the book you will totally see why)Naomi and Lash have such great chemistry, very romantic, caring and intense. I must admit the book only had one sex scene I was kind of looking for more. I really liked them together but regardless it worked. There is a lot of secondary characters in the book which made the story complete. I pray the next book is about Jeremy, I loved Lash but there was something about his BFF that makes me want to know more. This is a GREAT read with a very unique story. The ending was fantastic a twist I wasn't expecting and was left as a To Be Continued. The end actually made me cry not because it was to be continued but because it tugs at your heart (but it could be because I know have to wait for the next book) ;)Mrs. Castillo did a great job creating an awesome story about Angels and Demons. I loved it. I read it in two days and I can not wait for the next book.Completely Recommend you wont be disappointed. Trust me :)

Embers at Galdrilene

Embers at Galdrilene - A.D. Trosper Books like this are the reason I LOVE to read. I was all in after the first chapter. WOW what a story. So let me tell you about this book without giving to much away (Because this is such an awesome book I want you to discover all the details on your own)......Cover: It's interesting I actually like it. Characters: These are the kind of characters you miss when you are finished reading the book.Book Flow: Not bad. It builds in the beginning then kind of flattens out before it gets to an amazing ending.Story: Keeps your interest, Its an original story.POV: Its a bunch of POV's of all the character."The Foundling is strong. Only great power and a blood connection could pull me here. For you and for the draclet she will bond, I will continue to shield her from the lake while she is still in it." Review:It has been a long time since I found a Fantasy book that I not only loved but seriously could not put down. There are 6 main characters to follow in this book as well as a few secondary that could also be considered main characters as well. The story builds with a world that believes Magic is a curse and Dragons were Evil. Emallaya an Elder Dragon Rider is trying to find the 6 young adults (Foundlings as they are called) that can hear the dragon song before the evil Benduiren can kill them. The Dragon song is something only the Dragon Riders can hear. After she gathers all the "Foundlings" they travel to Galdrilene were each future rider will hatch a dragon egg and become a true Dragon Rider. But the Evil Benduiren are also looking for Shadow Riders to hatch the Black Dragons. The story was amazing, the characters were fantastic, the book was an I couldn't put it down no matter how hard I tried kinda book and when it was over I wanted to cry. Thank the lord its a series!!! I can not wait for the next book. I actually couldn't stop thinking about this book once I was done. I really felt a strong connection with the characters. I gave the book 4 stars but If I loved it so much why only 4? I loved the entire book. I did feel the middle was longer then I would have wanted. I understand the reason for it but I think reading the same thing in a bunch of different points of view was a lot. You do get a LOT of information and the story does build just thought some parts were not necessary. Then you get to the end and are like OMG this is amazing. I also kind of wished you were able to learn more about the Shadow Riders the same way you did the Dragon Riders. Regardless I loved the book. I strongly recommend to anyone looking for a fresh and new story in a fantastic fantasy world. With a touch of Romance. This is truly a great read. It actually makes me want to find more YA Fantasty books to read. I seriously can not wait for the next one!!!!For more visit my blog http://love2readalways.blogspot.com/

Love Me For Me (Safe Haven, #1)

Love Me For Me (Safe Haven, #1) - Kate Laurens I was able to review this book for the blog tour. I really enjoyed it. The characters were well written and the story was amazing....The story centers around Serena King who is a sophomore in college. She is a quiet person who is just trying to live a normal life but has a very dark secret and a troubled past that has been haunting her since she was 15. She spends most of her time alone until she meets the handsome Alex Blackthorn. Not only does he make her realize she longs to be loved he also makes her come to terms with what has been haunting her. I really enjoyed this book. The story was intense and I loved how the end of the book played out. I think Kate Laurens did a fantastic job handling the situations in the book. I loved that both characters had to over come conflict. I loved Serena and Alex together. They had a very strong passion and sexual tension. Alex is a sweet, caring and understand character. His background story was unique I don't think I have ever read anything like it.I would recommend this book to anyone looking for an intense story with a lot of passion and a dark background. I really enjoyed it.

The Scent of a Soul

The Scent of a Soul - Jennifer Thompson This book is a tough one to review with all the secret and surprises it holds. I loved Lilliah and Mareks, I thought they are well written, I LOVED them together and the story was a great read. The secondary characters add a great extension of the main story. There is no sex in this book but it has a lot of tender romance to keep your heart racing. I really don't want to give away to much. The story really kept moving but it was a bit long (for me), other than that if your looking for a great read this is a great Paranormal Romance that both Adults and Young Adults will enjoy. I would consider this a Clean Paranormal Romance.Totally recommend this book, you wont be disappointed :)

Falling Into You

Falling Into You - Jasinda Wilder What I Thought?I have started and stopped this review all week. I start typing it and realize, "nope this just doesn't sound right" so I would start over. I'm not sure I can write a review that will do this book justice but I will try my best...This is by far one of those books that stick with you way after you read it. I finished it on March 24, I know that's not that long ago but I can't get Kyle, Nell and Colton out of my head. I'm sure people are tired of me telling them "OMG YOU MUST READ THIS BOOK!!! BEST BOOK EVER!!!"So with a little bit of thought as to how to write this review, this is what I came up with :)My heart hurt for these characters I cried with them and felt their emotions. The story captured not only an amazing love story but all the emotions and feeling you get when you lose someone you love. There were times I wanted to hug the characters and parts were I wanted to smack them in the back of the head and say "get over it already" but I get it. I know what that guilt feels like when you lose someone who you care for whether its a friend or your first love. The burden you carry with you wishing you did something different, called them sooner, spent more time with them or said something to them that you never did. Taking for granted that they would always be there with you. You never expect to have them one day be gone and you realize you had so much to tell them. No matter how hard you try to get yourself to realize they know, there is no comfort from the guilt you carry. But at some point you have to just put it aside, it never goes away but it gets easier with time. The characters were amazing. I loved Nell as a close friend, I missed Kyle and I fell in love with Colton. I loved the idea of reading in Nell's POV and Colton's POV seen it done but never this well. This is now one of my Favorite books. Oh and let's not forget.....I'm a huge fan of sex in a book but HOLY CRAP!!!! I needed a cold shower after each sex scene. WOW....JUST WOW!!!! :)Do I recommend this book?Did this review do this book justice? Probably not. Jasinda Wilder did an amazing job writing this book I'm not sure my review can completely make you feel how she made me feel reading it. But should you read it? Without a doubt, 100%, Absolutely think you should get this book and sit down for one hell of an amazing emotional roller coaster of love, lose and hot sex ;). Michelle@ love2readalways.blogspot.com

After Realm

After Realm - Renee Travis The book follows the story of the 12 dancing princesses but with a twist. They are all Supernatural Princesses. The story centers around Hellebella a Demon Princess who is an average teenager with average teenager issues (rebellious, outspoken and defiant). She is sent to a boarding school to be taught how to become a real princess with a group of other girls with the same teen angst. Helle finds a secret door and together with her friends the story of the 12 dancing princesses emerge. When starting this book I wasn't sure how I would like since the beginning was a little slow as the story builds. By the time I got half way I was all in. I actually stayed up just to finish the book. I couldn't wait to see what happened and didn't want to have to wait till tomorrow. The Princesses were a fun group of girls to read about each with their own personality and written so well. I really enjoyed the story. The setting was great and well described. The only issue I had was the types of supernatural beings and which one was which. (I had a hard time writing that sentence LOL I'm not even sure if it makes sense) Other than that I really like this book a lot. It was a really fun story to read and I believe Mrs. Travis did a great job making the story of the 12 Dancing Princesses her own.Should you read it?I believe you should if you like a good Fairy Tale Re-telling or Just a really good supernatural story then you will really like this book!!Michelle@love2readalways.blogspot.com

Serenata: Through the Keyhole: 1

Serenata: Through the Keyhole - Sandra L Jacobs A Secret Land in a Keyhole, an ancient prophecy & a battle with the Shadow of Darkness made this book a fun and exciting adventure. Matthew is a 12 year old boy who is spending a couple weeks on his grandparents farm when he finds a keyhole to the Kingdom of Serenata in the barn and discovers that he is a part of an ancient prophecy to help lost Serenatarians find there way out of the darkness into the light and back home with their loved ones. This was such a fun story with a lot of adventure to keep any kid interested until the end. A great book for parents to read to their kids too. I do however believe this is not a book for adults to read alone but an awesome book for Middle Graders. Kids can connect with the main character and the other characters are very lovable. Well does Matthew beat the darkness you ask? Well I can't tell you, you will just have to read the book :)Should you read it? If you are looking for a fun story to read to your kids or if you are looking for a good book for your middle graders then yes I would totally recommend this book. If you (as an adult) want to read this book I believe its better to read as a family than alone.

Splintered

Splintered - A.G. Howard I have stepped into Wonderland a few times. Once in a book, Once through Disney and Once through Tim Burton/Disney again. But never have I read a version of this story quite like this. I must give credit that even though this is Lewis Carrolls story. A.G. Howard made it her own and what it would be like if Wonderland was real. Wow, the characters, the setting and the story were all so colorful. The words jumped off the page and gave such a detail of the craziness it played like a movie in my head. The main character Alyssa a great character to follow through this adventure she was such a quiet kind of let people tell her what to do but by the end of the book you can see such an awesome change in her. I wasn't a fan of Jeb (her best friend) I really prefer the bad boy Morpheus only because Jeb was so clingy and pretty much did everything for Alyssa (I hate when people tell me what to do I can't imagine how she felt LOL he was like controlling it was physically irritating) Now Morpheus (my sexy moth man) was a fantastic character I LOVED him. So mysterious, a little psychotic and he really had a softness to him that would make anyone girl melt. I can even hear his sexy voice in my head while reading (***taking a cold shower*** now lets move on) This book was such a crazy read. I loved every minute of it. I can't tell you to much about the story besides what the synopsis says cause there is so much to it I would be sure to give away something I don't want to. Its better to go in not know what happens and be surprise like I was. I loved all the twists and turns and I loved the modern twists to all the characters. I would love for someone to make this into a movie. I would be the first one in line to see it. Do I Recommend?Certainly. Take a trip down the rabbit hole to an Alice in Wonderland you will never forget!!! FYI Morpheus is hot!!!Happy Reading :)Michellehttp://love2readalways.blogspot.com/

Personal Growth: 2 (Growing Roots)

Personal Growth (Growing Roots, #2) - Chelsea Falin, Ellen Caroll, Samantha Jayde Royds I had the honor of being able to read this book, after reading the first I couldn't wait to find out what happens to Willie and her group of friends. In this book the story continues, this time Willie and her friends are going through some life changes and learning that everything at some point must change. After spending most of her time with boys Willie finds a friends at school Deanna and the two become best friends, Deanna starts to show Willie how to be a "Girl" :) Willie also goes through some changes in this book she realized she wants to learn more about her culture by learning the language and also gets information about her father. (I don't want to give anything away so I wont say anymore about it) This book is as heartwarming and passionate as the first, filled with the culture and love of the Native American people. It was like sitting down listening to a friend tell you a story it still had a "real" feel to it. I loved this book as much as I loved the first one.Would I recommend itOf course I would....This book is also a Novella filled with the same passion as the first!!! Give them both a read you wont be disappointed!!!!

Less Than Humble Beginnings: Growing Roots Series: 1

Less Than Humble Beginnings (Growing Roots, #1) - Chelsea Falin The book is a Novella so its not to long I read it in about a day. But WOW I couldn't put the book down. The book centers around a young girl name Willie, her mom passes away, Willie and her sister Babette have to move in with her mom's estranged family but what she find is a culture she was unaware of, friends she never thought she would have and a life she always wanted. I completely love Willie she is such a strong character and as the book progresses she really grows. Her family and friends are amazing they are so well written and the story as a whole is heartwarming & realistic with just the right amount of romance. All the characters had such a "real" feel to them it was almost like I was in the story with them hanging out on the couch drinking a beer and laughing alone with them. This story with not a lot of pages but holds so much passion and culture and friendship in it. By the end of the book you will be wanting more!!!! Would I recommend it?Yes, yes, yes....just for the fact that it is such a heartwarming story and it makes you love all these people as if they are all your friends too :)

Cinder (The Lunar Chronicles Series #1)

Cinder (The Lunar Chronicles Series #1) - I was positive I was going to hate this book, But WOW, just WOW.....I loved the story, as much as it had a Cinderella feel to it the story was all its own. The characters were so well written. The Queen and the Stepmother I hated them!!!! Like I wanted to jump in the book and beat them kind of hate. Cinder, Iko, Kai were so likable and I loved them. I felt for Cinder the entire way through the book. I loved Kai and Cinder, the story gave just enough of their relationship without shoving it down your throat. If your going to have a Cyborg as your main character you're going to want her to be a strong independent character (not weepy and weak) and I just adored her!!!!

Ripped

Ripped: A Jack the Ripper Time-Travel Thriller - Shelly Dickson Carr, Nan Fornal, Chris Gall I'm all for taking a fantasy and twisting it into something else, But not when it's a real story. The idea was good but It would have worked better if it was set back in London in 1888 rather then going back to the past. If you're that scared of Madame Tussauds house of horrors how is it not scary to actually be back in time with the real Jack the Ripper. For me it just didn't work. Even the character placement didn't work. I really wanted to like it......I just didn't :(

Red Pyjama (Llama Llama)

Llama Llama Red Pyjama - Anna Dewdney Such a cute book. I love the rhyming. My daughter made me read it to her every night before she went to sleep. So to make it more interested I would sing it to her like a rap song. She thought it was hilarious.....my husband thought i was nuts!!! :)

The Obsidian Dagger (Celtic Mythos, Book 1)

The Obsidian Dagger - Brad LaMar Have you ever read a book slow, not because it was bad but because you just didn't want it to end? The Obsidian Dagger by Brad LaMar was one of those books to me. It follows Brendan and Lizzie along with their father Oscar as they travel to Ireland to find out about their family history, that is until things get a little crazy and they have to defeat an evil witch. It was a fun, exciting, fast paced adventure with a touch of humor. The banter between Brendan and Lizzie was so true to life, I can picture my kids being the same way when they are their age. Even when the story gets a little "unbelievable" the characters question or point out everything giving this book a "real" feel. Their travel companions Dorian, Rory and Bibby are such love-able character. Morna and Dullaghan were awesome evil. I loved the writing style as the story was told by all the characters not just thru the eyes of one. The only thing I thought the story could use was a bit more description of the world or surroundings just to give that I feel like I was there feeling. Other then that I would recommend this book to any middle grade, ya or adult who like a good modern day fantasy, taking myth and legend and giving it new life. I'm happy to be able to add this book to my favorites list and I can not wait for the next book!!! Happy reading :)

Peregrine Harker & The Black Death

Peregrine Harker & The Black Death - Luke Hollands I received a copy from Sparkling Books Ltd on netgalley.com my request.Peregrine Harker & The Black Death is a fasted pace book about a boy reporter who goes out on a story only to be caught up in an action packed adventure....Let me start by saying this was a really fun book. If I was a middle grade boy this would have all the adventure I would dream about..Murder, Mystery, Spies and a lovely lady to save. But since I'm not a middle grade boy I will say this was a very fun, fast paced book that gave a lot of twists and surprises. It did lack something with only 150 pages I felt that it needed something more. The Story was very good just not enough of it. I can see Mr. Hollands writing more books about this character he was VERY likable and the other characters that revolve around him are well written as well. I'm hoping maybe since this was an "introduction"to the life of Mr. Harker maybe more of the story will be written in the next installment? Either way I would recommend this to younger people preferable boys or even maybe adult that are just looking for a fun short story without a lot of thinking involved :) Enjoy!!!

Showtime: 1

Showtime - Chloe Kayne I received this book from the author in exchange for an honest review...I can honestly say I LOVED IT!!!! I'm not into writing reviews that give spoilers, I'll just tell you it felt like a long read but well worth it. It was never boring or slow. All the characters especially the main character Laila was very likable even the villian type characters were written very well. Chloe Kayne painted a beautiful picture of living life with a circus in the 1920's. I really loved the romance part of the story it wasn't shoved down your throat like most books there was just enough to make you fall in love with Dex and wanted him and Laila get together. It really set up the next book nicely since i felt this book was an intro to the circus and the people living in it. There was only one thing i can say "bothered" me, the relationship between Laila and her Mom was a little confusing but that pretty much was it with that being said I really would recommend this book to anyone who is looking for a very good read!!! Enjoy!!!!
